Meet The Team

* All the members of the executive bureau have a STEM background and come from underprivileged regions in Northern Cameroon, where they experienced challenges getting access to education. This personal experience is what drives their motivation to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.

Pr. Ousman Tamgue

Department of Biochemistry

University of Douala, Cameroon

Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Ousman Tamgue investigates the role of non-coding RNAs as mediators of natural products’ activities and as potential biomarkers for the diagnosis, treatment monitoring, and antibiotic resistance in infectious diseases such as malaria, Tuberculosis, HIV, and some Neglected Tropical Diseases. He acquired that experience while working in laboratories in China, Japan, South Africa, Germany, and Italy before returning to Cameroon.

Dr. Plidikoua Amandine

Currently working as a Biologist and Molecular Microbiologist, gaining technical skills in biochemistry, Microbiology, and Molecular biology.

Pharmacist

While working as an Executive at the Ministry of Public Health, she acquired technical skills in Pharmacy, Public Health, Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Pharmacognosy.

Dr. Akami Mazarin

Currently occupied as an Entomologist and microbial ecologist, Dr. Mazarin possesses technical skills in Entomology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Genetics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology.
